Quick Search

The Quick Search panel lets you search for entities within
the tree using their names (use the alternative Search Files panel if you want to search
within the content of entity files). The Quick Search panel is displayed by
entering Ctrl Q at any point, by
selecting Tools > Quick Search
from the menu at the top of the designer, or by clicking the 
icon on the toolbar at the top of the tree.
This panel has the following features:
- Search: enter characters in the search
box to limit the display to entities starting with the characters entered.
You can also enter an ‘*’ to represent any group of characters or a ‘?’ to represent any single
character. Clear the search by clicking the clear icon
shown at the right-hand side of the
search box when search characters have been entered.
- Navigation: you can use the keyboard up and down arrows to navigate the list of objects.
- Selection: press the return key or click the OK button to select the highlighted entity.
- Open entities: entities which are currently open in the designer are shown in bold
